Ivan Ristic is a railway signalling and telecommunications engineer with 30 years of experience, specialized in the design, supervision, verification, and implementation of different railway control systems, including ETCS and CBTC, across Europe and beyond. He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade and is a member of several international and local institutions, including IRSE, IEE, CIRO, and the Serbian Chamber of Engineers. Ivan has led complex signalling projects in South East Europe (Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia), Tanzania, Denmark and Saudi Arabia, working with major international financiers including the EU, EBRD, EIB, and World Bank. He also serves as a Lead Assessor for the CCS subsystem within the Designated Body (DeBo) and Assessment Body (AsBo) in Serbia, including certification of various types of rolling stock and trackside equipment against national technical rules and Common Safety Method. He is the Founder and Managing Director of SIGNALLING SOLUTIONS, a consultancy company providing expert services in railway signalling and telecommunications and safety assessment. He is also Founder and Managing Director of New In Signal, a global platform dedicated to sharing railway signalling knowledge and supporting professionals, railway infrastructure managers, and manufacturers in navigating the technical and regulatory challenges for signalling infrastructure and rolling stock.
