An experienced manager who, after completing his university studies in 2007 (graduation from the Faculty of Transport Engineering at the University of Pardubice – Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics), joined the railway, specifically the company of České dráhy, as a Supply Centre officer in Česká Třebová. As part of the preparations for the establishment of the joint stock company ČD Cargo, he was a member of the team dealing with supply. At ČD Cargo, he first worked as a purchasing and supply specialist, then he acted in project management and IT development, and in 2012-2013 he was the Director of the Implementation Department at ČD – Informační systémy, a.s. In 2013-2018, Mr. Tóth held the position of Director of the Economic and Financial Management Department of ČD Cargo, and in 2018-2020 he was the Executive Director of ČD Cargo. Since 4th December 2020, Tomáš Tóth has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČD Cargo.
